Nostalgia. . .

It was 5 years from now. . .
A great job, a relatively comfortable life. . .
But something was missing, a vortex of loneliness lingered somewhere in the dearths of my heart. . .
So I planned, to revisit the memories, memories so vivid, memories so very deeply imprinted in my mind. . .
I slammed the breaks of my car as I approached that building. . .my residence for 3 beautiful years. . .
It hadn't changed. . .the warden. . .the staff. . .the refectory. . .nothing changed. . .except. . US
Those uncontrollable laughters, those stupid mockeries, morning washroom traffic, late night food parcels. . .scribbling on the walls. . .birthday celebrations. . . fashion advices. . .beauty treatments. . .
Everything echoed, ran like a bio-scope in front of my dawdling eyes. . .
I could find ourself in that girl tying the duppatta on her face, or the one going to the mess, or the quiet one observing the passers-by. . .
Turning back. . i walked back on that muddy, pot holed road. . .
Looked right..and found our regular eatery. . .a local hub for confessions & professions. . .
Across the road i saw that stone wall. . .where new couples got rid of their initial inhibitions. . .where friends had post exams discussions. . .where the 'pani puri' and the 'chola fali' vendors always found some loyal customers. . .
I walked left. . .passing by the usual shops that seemed so special this time. . .
Passed by our usual cyber cafe, passed by our usual coffee shop. . .wondering whether the people would still recognize me or not. . .
I strutted ahead. . .reaching our 'kitli'. . .i smiled when i recalled myself saying.."kitne baje hain???kuch khane chalen pls???"
The kitli was crowded, yet so deserted. . .
The fast moving cars, the random voices, all were so frozen. . .
The revisit only tampered with those untouched times. . .
I got in the car. . .and drove back to my present. . .leaving the echoes. .leaving the bio-scope behind. . .
