This one's for the ladiessssssss!!!!!!!!

So another rape happened. 

A brutal one, the girl is critical. Reason- probably she was not well versed with the ways of living in the good ol' Dilli.

Being a girl it makes me really mad, infact everyone, whether a guy or a girl is mad after hearing about this heinous crime. But I guess its not anger anymore. . its discomfort. Like a painful lump in the body that you want to get rid of. 

With all due respect, no amount of social media petitions or candle marches would work..maybe to a certain extent, but that wont nip the crime in the bud. Because the biggest damage has already been done. To what extent can one ease the pain of that girl who will be haunted by the memories of that night for years to come. She might not even make it. We need to stick to the old adage "Charity Begins at home". No matter how shy or introvert you are, you need to get tough to deal with monsters like these. And its not just Delhi, perverts of other metros too enjoy the occasional smacking and groping and blurting out explicit remarks about women, although Delhi undoubtedly is the undefeated ruler of rape. Maybe the following things would help:

- Shout....as hard as you can....channelize your fear into anger and show it....they don't expect that. I have tried it and it has worked.

- Be a little agile... don't walk on the road being completely lost in your phone or ipod. 

- If you sense someone following you....stay alert...clench your fists as hard as you can and be prepared to punch hard in the stomach or below the belt.

- Pick up a big stone or a rock or something. Don't be nervous just go for it if something happens. Always concentrate on crushing the weiner as hard as you can. Don't worry about the strength. You do not know but adrenaline rush gives you a lot of power. If he is hurt...just leave...do not worry about he complaining of physical assault. When people can get away after raping, you can easily be out of it.

- Women are blessed with an advanced sense of intuition. Do not cloud it. Use it well.

- No matter how close the relative is...if he/she acts creepy...complain.

- If you drive, carry a cricket or a baseball bat in the car. You never know.

- Also the little things like pepper spray or red chilly powder would help if you get the time to take it out.

There is no concept of "don't get raped". No girl walks out of the house with the intention of getting raped. But its not the case with certain gentlemen...they do walk around with the intention of raping. Someday I would really want to get into the mind of a rapists and hear what he actually thinks. Is it something like, "Oh...there is something walking down the road i must quench my lust with"?? Or Maybe "She is a little girl, who would she tell once I bribe her with some chocolates??" Or perhaps "Nobody would know if I kill her after I am done with her. . genius me".

The day government declares immediate death sentence or castration for rape, pigs will fly. Till then, we can promise ourselves that the moment any guy or man or men try to be frisky or cheap in any form, we would give them such hell that he prefers going Gay.

I know these measures are not foolproof but they definitely will make you a difficult target. That's how you truly wake up. Because the government has long back implied in various forms that they are nothing else but a bunch of paralyzed wusses. Its about time we stop giving them chances to make the world a safer place to live in.
